Physical Therapist - 13-Week Contract Position

Day shift: 5 days, 8 hours each day.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction. This role is responsible for delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs aimed at promoting effective return to community activities. The therapist will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, while upholding compliance with all organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to patient discharge.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions effectively.
• Document patient care in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner.
• Participate in student programs and provide learning opportunities under supervision.
• Engage in professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Participate in advocacy efforts within the community and among professional organizations.
• Adhere to the State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
• Contribute to performance improvement methodologies and follow action plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current state license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience is highly desired.
