Day shift, 5 days per week, 8.0 hours per day, Monday through Friday.

Job Description

The Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction. The role includes the delegation and direction of specialized therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration. This professional will also serve as an educator to patients, families, students, coworkers, and self. Adherence to organizational values and safety protocols is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans and goals aimed at progressing patients toward discharge.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to identify and address barriers to discharge.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions efficiently.
• Document patient care activities clearly, concisely, and in a timely manner.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision and evaluations.
• Engage in professional development and advocacy efforts within the community.
• Maintain compliance with applicable state practice acts and code of conduct.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid, current State license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, with acute inpatient experience preferred.
• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
