Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 x 12-hour shifts; Every Other Weekend Required; 3/6 Holiday Requirement

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The nurse plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on the patient’s needs. Key responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develops, implements, and coordinates an individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
• Performs therapeutic nursing interventions and manages care of patients.
• Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
• Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of innovative care delivery practices.
• Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma in an inpatient setting.
• Required Certifications: BLS - AHA, ACLS, and Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card certified by ONS.
• Required Education: ASN; Preferred Education: BSN.
• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license is required.
• Preferred Certifications: Telemetry and Chemo Certification with ONS.
