Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide care to patients with complex medical conditions. The position requires a blend of PCU and ICU experience, with a strong emphasis on cardiac care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients' condition and administer medications as prescribed.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Float among three different hospitals as needed within a 20-mile radius.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and ICU experience.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory at the time of submission.
• NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to the start date.
• Epic experience is required, with familiarity in managing cardiac drips.
• Must be nicotine-free; negative 10-panel drug screen required.
