Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Job Description

The CVICU RN-Flex Pool position is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the cardiovascular intensive care unit. The nurse will take care of critically ill patients, particularly those recovering from open-heart surgery.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, especially post-operative cardiac surgery patients.
• Administer medications and manage patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills, including IABP and Impella.
• Provide direct care to fresh open-heart surgery patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid participating compact license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care, specifically in CVICU.
• Experience with Prismaflex CRRT is a plus.
• Fresh open-heart experience is REQUIRED.
