Registered Nurse - MedSurg/PCU (Nights)

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse specializing in MedSurg and PCU. The role requires experience in all areas with a willingness to flex between departments as needed. The RN will effectively identify patient and significant others' needs for education, ensuring that education is delivered using appropriate modalities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety through preventative measures such as side rails and safe equipment use.
• Demonstrate knowledge and safe operation of equipment in the PCU, Telemetry, and MedSurg areas.
• Implement infection control and isolation procedures appropriately.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, interventions, and responses during assigned shifts.
• Communicate effectively with other departments and provide complete change of shift reports.
• Report critical lab values to the physician timely and complete physician orders accurately.
• Maintain and restock emergency carts and general supplies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Washington RN License
• Experience in MedSurg and PCU required
