12-hour night shift with weekend and holiday requirements. Flexible scheduling with potential for more than the standard 36 hours per week.

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide specialized respiratory care in a critical access hospital setting. The therapist will manage ventilators and provide care to a diverse patient population, including neonates and pediatrics. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering treatments, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administering respiratory therapy treatments to patients of all ages.
• Managing and monitoring ventilators as required.
• Collaborating with physicians and nursing staff for effective patient care.
• Documenting patient care and treatment plans in compliance with hospital standards.
• Training and educating patients and families on respiratory therapy protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Current Vermont state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP; NBRC certification (RRT or CRT) preferred.
• Recent NICU experience within the last year is required.
• Epic documentation system experience within the last 2 years is non-negotiable.
