Critical Care and Emergency Department Respiratory Therapist

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. Weekend coverage is required.

Job Description

The position requires a Respiratory Therapist with experience in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department settings. This role involves handling critical patient cases and requires specialized skills using various respiratory equipment and therapies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage respiratory equipment such as Hamilton G5, PB 980, and Respironics V60.
• Administer treatments for conditions including ARDS, pneumonia, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
• Perform bronchoscopies, intubation assists, and tracheostomy care.
• Conduct patient evaluations and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department required.
• Must possess state license, RRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
• Familiarity with specific respiratory conditions and treatments, including high-frequency oscillators and ECMO.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
