Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Intermediate Care Unit, managing patients with varying acuity levels. The nurse will be a key team member, participating in a dynamic and collaborative healthcare environment. Flexibility is essential as the role may require floating to other units and working holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio averaging 1:5, with potential variance up to 1:6.
• Administer medications and perform nursing duties including IV drips, telemetry, and patient assessments.
• Work collaboratively with charge nurses, clinical assistants, and a team of healthcare professionals.
• Provide patient care for common diagnoses including chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, and post-procedural patients.
• Promote a culture of safety and quality care within the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Valid and unexpired state RN license.
• Experience in an Intermediate Care Unit or related field is preferred.
