12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, available on weekends: Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday.

Job Description

The Neuro Unit is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses with a strong background in neuroscience. Nurses will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to individuals with conditions such as strokes, seizures, and post-operative neurological disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Neuro Unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient assessments and interventions in Epic.
• Administer medications and manage patient drips according to physician's orders.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification (AHA) required.
• NIHSS certification in hand at the time of submission.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong neuro experience and proficiency with G-tubes are necessary.
• Recent experience with Epic electronic health records system is required.
• Ability to interpret telemetry strips is not required as strip reading is handled by monitor techs.
