Medical Surgical ICU RN - 3x12 Hour Day Shift

Shifts will be on days, specifically working 3x12 hours from 07:00 to 19:00.

Job Description

Join our Medical Surgical ICU team, providing comprehensive care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in acute care nursing with expertise in a Medical-Surgical setting. Your role is essential in delivering high-quality patient care, monitoring patients, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and support.
• Utilize advanced technology and equipment, including ECMO and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
• Administer medications and perform specialized procedures as necessary.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing teams for effective patient management.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Travel experience is required.
• Preferred experience includes Level I trauma and LTAC.
