Medical Surgical ICU Registered Nurse

Day shift: 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00)

Job Description

The Medical Surgical ICU Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans and monitor patient progress. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical thinking and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical ICU patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and provide intervention as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document patient care and monitor progress using the Epic charting system.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in the education of patients and families regarding care and treatment options.
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Medical Surgical ICU setting.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Preferred experience with charge duties and Level I Trauma care.
• Travel experience is required.
