Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work primarily in trauma and surgery departments, with responsibilities including assisting in surgical procedures and providing comprehensive patient care. The candidate must have a solid understanding of Level I Trauma protocols and experience with liver and kidney transplants.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a surgical and trauma environment.
• Assist in various surgical procedures including but not limited to craniotomy, lumbar fusions, and vascular surgeries.
• Manage patient records and charting using Cerner.
• Float to the GI unit or surgery center as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation during winter and summer holidays.
• Work weekend shifts as per scheduling requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in trauma and surgical settings.
• Must possess a valid PA or compact nursing license at the time of submission.
• BSN degree required.
• Certifications in BLS, NBSTSA or NCCT required.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
