Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients in various stages of labor and delivery, including postpartum and newborn care. This position requires floating as needed within the unit.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients throughout labor and delivery.
• Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries, providing assistance in the OR.
• Administer medications and IV fluids as required, including blood products.
• Provide couplet care for mothers and newborns.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using the Epic charting system.

Required Experience and Certifications

• 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Care.
• Active compact nursing license or WA license.
• Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP, ACLS preferred.
• Experience with high-risk pregnancies and interventions, including IUPC placement, central lines, and medication drips.
