Registered Nurse - Acute Care

Schedule

The position involves a 12-hour day/night rotating schedule or single shift based on the candidate's preference, primarily on Friday through Sunday.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work across multiple units of varying acuity levels including Critical Care Unit (CCU), Intermediate Care (IMC), and Medical-Surgical units. The nurse will provide care for patients with diverse diagnoses, such as NSTEMI, pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, heart disease, and diverticulitis. Floating to the Emergency Department (ED) or CCU may be expected depending on the individual’s skillset.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Administer and titrate critical drips as necessary.
• Manage patient care across multiple units, adhering to appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Utilize monitoring technology, including reading and interpreting telemetry strips.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required.
• At least 1 year of experience in ICU or ED preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required (ACLS is mandatory for CCU or ED).
• Valid nursing license in the state of practice.
