CVICU Registered Nurse

Job Description

The CVICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing exceptional care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care. This role includes maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, delegating patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff, and providing direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and scientific judgment in patient care planning.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuous education.
• Delegate patient care tasks effectively.
• Supervise and provide direction to assigned personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care preferred.
• Current nursing license in the applicable state.

Schedule

This is a night shift position from 19:00 to 07:00.
