Job Description

The Cardiac Telemetry Unit (3N) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. The unit consists of 43 semi-private beds, accommodating post-heart catheterization patients, those requiring medical management for CHF, COPD, arrhythmias, and patients awaiting CABG consults. The nurse will have the opportunity to work alongside a team that values collaboration and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions.
• Monitor vital signs and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications and titrate Heparin as needed.
• Perform admissions and discharges, ensuring thorough documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Assist in procedures and support fellow team members during high patient volume times.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry and ability to read strips.
• Comfortable with titration of Heparin, and familiarity with other common cardiac medications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
