Job Description

The MRI Technologist performs MRI studies following set protocols established by the Radiologists. This role requires operating the MRI scanner to produce images of consistent optimal quality while preparing the scan room and equipment appropriately. The MRI Technologist is responsible for positioning the patient, coils, and equipment as required, and maintaining communication with the patient throughout the scanning procedure.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• Non-Degree Program from an approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program Required
• 1 year experience as a Radiology Technologist Required
• 1 year experience in CT or MRI Preferred
• American Registry of Radiologists (ARRT) MR certification required within 2 years from date of hire
• Reg Technologist (R) Required
• Reg Technologist (MR) Required
• Basic Life Support Required
