Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown Unit. The RN will provide care to patients with heavy cardiac conditions, dysrhythmias, and CVAs. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with medical staff for optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and managing drips such as Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Heparin.
• Read and interpret cardiac strips, collaborating with monitor technologists as needed.
• Assist with the care of patients on Bipap, Cpap, and High Flow oxygen.
• Engage in patient and family education regarding health conditions and treatments.
• Document patient information accurately using Cerner and EPIC EMR systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License in the state of West Virginia.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience in a Stepdown/Telemetry unit preferred.
