Registered Nurse - MedSurg (12-Hour Nights)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, with weekends scheduled as required. Shift times are from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

This role involves providing nursing care in a MedSurg unit, primarily dealing with post-surgical patients, orthopedic cases, pneumonia, dialysis, and palliative care. The unit accommodates both clean and COVID patients, requiring comfort in managing diverse patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients on the MedSurg unit, ensuring adherence to nursing standards and procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions, administering medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification.
• Valid nursing license for the state in which the position is located.
• Experience in MedSurg nursing preferred.
