Float Nurse - Emergency Department Holds

This is an 8-week contract position with the potential for extension.

Schedule

This position requires 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, working four days a week with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Float Nurse will support Emergency Department Holds and is required to have PCU experience to manage Step Down and Acute Care holds effectively. While ED experience is advantageous, inpatient experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a float capacity across various departments.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions during holds in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NJ nursing license or compact state license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only).
• Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and inpatient settings.
