Job Description

Join our team as a Medical Surgical Nurse with both adult and pediatric experience. This role is set in a unit featuring 26 medical surgical beds, including 8 designated for pediatrics. The position demands a professional with a solid understanding of pediatric care alongside medical surgical nursing for adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients on a medical surgical floor.
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 for adults and 1:4 for pediatric patients.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and documentation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Experience in managing both adult and pediatric medical surgical cases is essential.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
