Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by assuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. A focus on patient and employee safety is paramount, ensuring a safe environment for both patients and staff. The RN embraces the core values of the organization, delivering superior quality and achieving objectives as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis.
• Participate in the rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction and training to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and team dynamics.
• Assume charge responsibility as required.
• Pursue professional growth and development through continuing education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• A minimum of two years bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
