Job Description

Join our compassionate and dedicated team as a Travel RN in the Blood Cancer Unit. This unit specializes in oncology care, providing support to patients with blood cancers in an acute setting. Our team prioritizes evidence-based practice and strives for excellence in patient care through a closely-knit, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to oncology patients, including medication administration and patient monitoring.
• Manage patient ratios of 3-4:1, ensuring quality care and attention.
• Assist with various procedures, including lumbar punctures and bone marrow biopsies.
• Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in a team culture that emphasizes mutual support and communication.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in oncology nursing preferred.
• Chemo and biotherapy certification is strongly preferred, as handling hazardous drugs is required.
• Prior step-down or critical care experience is a plus.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and processes.
