Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) specializing in transplant and stepdown care. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients recovering from organ transplants and related procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the PCU.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage IV medications including heparin and PCA.
• Administer wound/drain care and utilize necessary equipment such as wound vacs and chest tubes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using EMR (Meditech).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry settings.
• Previous experience in a Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit preferred.
• Experience caring for patients with heparin gtts and PCA management.
• Experience with solid organ transplant care (kidney, liver, or pancreas) is preferred.
