Night shift, 3x12 Hour (19:00 - 07:30). Floating required with every weekend and every other holiday requirement.

Job Description

Join our dynamic Surgical Intensive Care Unit, specializing in the care of adult and geriatric trauma patients. Our unit also serves as an overflow for pediatrics, orthopedic, burn, and surgery patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-6, ensuring quality patient care and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric trauma patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including blood products and IV therapy.
• Utilize the EPIC charting system to document patient care accurately.
• Maintain infection control protocols and ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current PA or Compact nursing license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; experience in Surgical Intensive Care Unit preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is necessary.
