Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing Cardiopulmonary Services to both inpatients and outpatients. As a certified or registered practitioner by the National Board of Respiratory Care, the therapist will follow protocols approved by medical staff and departmental policies to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
• Maintain airways and manage ventilators
• Insert arterial lines and perform intubations
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and cardiac/pulmonary stress tests
• Perform blood gas analyses

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have NBRC RRT certification
• Must possess a valid Ohio RT license
• ACLS & BLS certifications must be attached to the submission (must be through the American Heart Association)

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift from 18:00 to 06:30.
