Medical-Surgical RN - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical-Surgical RN with expertise in telemetry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing patients with renal and urological diagnoses, particularly those recovering from prostate surgery, renal stones, and bladder and kidney surgeries. This unit also focuses on the management of catheter irrigations and bladder scans, catering to a patient demographic ranging from young adults to geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry medical-surgical unit
• Manage patients post prostate surgery and other related urological procedures
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting findings accurately
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting
• Proficient in using Epic for charting
• Current certifications in BLS and NIHSS
• Ability to float to units of equal or lesser acuity as needed
