Shift: Mid shift - 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM (12-hour shift)

Job Description

Join our team in the Emergency Department, providing care for a variety of patient diagnoses including Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure. You will work in a fast-paced environment, caring for a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The department has 64 beds including triage and trauma areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care in the Emergency Department setting.
• Manage care for high-acuity patients while supervising junior staff.
• Consult with other medical staff as necessary.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Department nursing with pediatric experience.
• Current AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• TNCC certification is required at the time of submission.
• New York RN license verification through NURSYS.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably EPIC.
• Charge Nurse or Manager experience is highly preferred.
