12-hour Night Shifts: 7 PM - 7 AM, every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The RN Traveler will be working on the 4th Floor Ortho/Surgical unit, providing care for post-operative and general medical patients. The unit consists of 52 beds in all private rooms, with a high emphasis on patient safety and care excellence.

Responsibilities

• Take full patient assignments while collaborating with the clinical team.
• Manage patient care for a variety of post-operative conditions including orthopedic and surgical cases.
• Utilize charting systems (Allscripts) for patient documentation and care continuity.
• Work alongside Nurse Aides (CNA) for optimal patient care, usually supported by 4-6 CNA's per shift.
• Participate in holiday rotation schedules and weekend shifts as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Must hold a valid RN license and disclose any licensing hits at submission.
