Shift: Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM, every other weekend; floating required but rarely needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing care to patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The role requires critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in ensuring safe delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience required in Emergency Room nursing.
• Current certifications in NIHSS, SAMA or CPI, ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC are required.
• Fingerprints for all NM travelers are mandatory.
