Job Description

An opportunity exists for a Neuro Med/Surg Tele Nurse to join a certified stroke center and level IV epilepsy monitoring unit. The ideal candidate will support a telemetry overflow unit and manage a diverse set of neuro-related diagnoses, while also practicing additional nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for neuro-related diagnoses and telemetry overflow patients.
• Assess and monitor patients' conditions, using telemetry as needed.
• Implement treatment plans and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Support the hospital's needs by floating to other units as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a neurology or telemetry setting.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Basic EKG testing required and provided by the agency.
• Valid Maryland or Compact nursing license.
