Job Description

As a Physical Therapist at a critical access hospital, you will focus on providing inpatient evaluations and treatments that impact patients' functional abilities. This role requires you to perform assessments, establish treatment plans, and provide therapy services while adhering to the highest standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessments and evaluations, identifying therapy diagnoses and formulating treatment plans.
• Implement, supervise, and modify therapy plans based on patient responses.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans as per hospital policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and attend care conferences.
• Facilitate patient education programs and provide home exercise plans.
• Assist in clinic operations, maintain supply stocks, and remain current on billing procedures.
• Provide therapy services at various community locations as needed.
• Educate staff and patients regarding therapeutic exercises and equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Entry-level Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
• Active Alaska Physical Therapist license.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Flu vaccinations required.
• Ability to provide excellent patient care in high-demand environments.
