Schedule

Scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first full week of orientation. Must be flexible with varied shifts and days. No guarantee of hours or shift preference.

Job Description

Travelers must apply for a State of HI license upon acceptance of the offer. The selected candidate must possess a Hawaii License by the start of the assignment. Proof of flu vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption is required before the contract start date. The flu vaccination can be administered during the employee health clearance appointment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize equipment including Meditech EMR, pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes, tube feeding, NG/G-Tubes, Trach Care, and PICC/PORT.
• Provide nursing care in a transitional care unit setting with a bed size of 32.
• Adhere to a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:8, with 1:6 aides during the day and 1:8 during the night.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-10 years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Current BLS certification.
• Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment.
