Registered Nurse - Postpartum, Antepartum, Labor and Nursery

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs while identifying priorities for care through assessment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician's medical diagnosis, and functional health framework.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage the care of patients.
• Document care based on standards of care and practice relative to patient acuity and clinical priorities.
• Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
• Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Schedule

This position requires a schedule of 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week, with every other weekend and 3 out of 6 holidays required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related specialty; 3 years preferred.
• Education: ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Certifications: Current BLS-AHA certification, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, NRP required; ACLS, Advanced AWHONN, or EFM preferred.
