Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a blended ICU setting, providing care primarily in the Intermediate Care Unit, with responsibilities in the Emergency Department for admitted patients as needed. The facility is a community hospital and regional referral center accredited by the Joint Commission, focusing on advanced care within a Level III Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients.
• Monitor and manage critical patients effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Utilize appropriate equipment and technology, including Baxter pumps and electronic health records (Medhost).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Experience in managing conditions such as STEMI, COPD exacerbation, and acute respiratory failure.
