Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) - 12-Hour Days

12-hour days, every other weekend. Up to 2 extra mandatory overtime shifts per 6 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Registered Nurse with a strong background in cardiac care. This position requires the ability to work weekends, with a need for coverage during those times. The RN will float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Med-Surg as needed depending on the census, and will manage patients with various cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adults and pediatric patients over 8 years of age as required.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond accordingly.
• Float to different units (PCU, Med-Surg) as necessary based on patient census and needs.
• Prepare and manage patients undergoing procedures such as Balloon Pump and Impella Pump management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Strong background in cardiac nursing required.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Experience with pediatric patients preferred, but not mandatory.
