Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care to patients across the continuum of care. Responsibilities include performing thorough assessments, demonstrating clinical skills, maintaining accurate documentation, and promoting patient satisfaction. The nurse will work cooperatively with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform systematic and comprehensive assessments for patients of all ages.
• Deliver competent clinical skills while providing direct patient care.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care.
• Demonstrate professionalism by adhering to policies and identifying growth areas.
• Respond to patients and families with courtesy, fostering a positive care environment.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals and utilize safe transfer techniques.
• Individualize patient care based on diagnosis and procedural needs.
• Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient care based on evolving needs.
• Educate patients and families about surgical procedures and post-operative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of ICU experience - Required
• RN License - Required
• BLS Certification - Required
• ACLS Certification - Required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
