PICU Registered Nurse - Night 3x12-Hour Shift

Will work 3x12s, NIGHTS, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Holiday requirements apply if the contract is during that period. Up to 5 weekend shifts may be required.

Job Description

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a 28-bed unit providing intensive and intermediate care to children ages 0-18. We specialize in caring for a diverse range of medical and surgical diagnoses, including respiratory compromise, trauma, and post-operative surgical patients requiring immediate intensive care support.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to PICU patients with a mix of medical and surgical diagnoses.
• Assist with ventilatory and cardiac support, including ECMO and CRRT.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for complex supportive therapies.
• Perform assessment, monitoring, and care of patients including those requiring interventions for respiratory support, hemodynamics, and neurologic conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of PICU experience is required.
• BLS and PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) are mandatory.
• A current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license is required.
• Experience with ECMO and CRRT preferred.
