Job Description

Join our team in the Med-Surg Cardiac Medical Unit where you will care for a diverse population of cardiac patients. Your expertise will be essential in managing hemodynamically stable patients with myocardial infarction, acute and chronic heart failure, and other related conditions. You will also work with procedural patients requiring cardiac interventions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient vitals using telemetry equipment.
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips and other treatments as prescribed.
• Care for patients undergoing procedures such as cardiac catheterization, ablations, and cardioversions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records via Allscripts and medication scanning systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ACLS certification is required.
• Strong background in cardiac telemetry and medical-surgical nursing.
• Experience with cardiac procedures and drip management preferred.
