Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30).

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CVICU Nurse to join our team. This position requires two years of acute care experience and involves floating to all ICUs, PACU, and ED for ICU holding patients. The candidate must be willing to work on holidays and weekends, with a patient ratio of 1:1-2.

Responsibilities

• Care for fresh hearts, ventilated patients, and patients with chest tubes and lumbar drains.
• Assist with BiPAP and CPAP management, chest tube insertion/removal, and post-op open heart recovery.
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and assist with CRRT using Prismaflex.
• Perform 12 lead EKGs and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Administer emergency medications and participate in patient education and care planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NJ RN License or Compact License.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• CVICU experience with fresh open hearts (CABG, MVR, AVR, TAVR) is mandatory.
• Experience with devices such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT is preferred.
• Must demonstrate the ability to float within skillset.
