Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30). Requires every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a high acuity Labor and Delivery unit, focusing on midwifery clients, private OBs, and supporting adult recovery services for substance recovery. The nurse will float between postpartum and antepartum as needed and may be required to provide care in multiple facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide care during labor and delivery, functioning also as a Baby Nurse.
• Circulate in the delivery room and provide necessary newborn care, including assessments and injections.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-risk environment while adhering to AWHONN guidelines.
• Manage high-risk deliveries and assist in various procedures as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high-risk Labor and Delivery.
• Active compact license or Washington state license required.
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP; preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate.
• Must provide current supervisory references and proof of required certifications.
• Experience with EPIC and electronic fetal monitoring is essential.
