Job Description

This position requires a highly skilled Registered Nurse trained in high-risk labor and delivery, capable of providing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Candidates must have extensive clinical experience in labor and delivery settings, with a strong preference for those who have worked with high-risk patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide care during labor and delivery, functioning as a Baby Nurse and ensuring the safe transfer of newborns to postpartum care.
• Circulate for cesarean sections and provide essential newborn care.
• Monitor maternal and fetal health, applying necessary interventions as per protocols.
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and manage post-delivery recovery for patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, following AWHONN guidelines to ensure best practices are met.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in high-risk labor and delivery.
• Current licenses and certifications: BLS, NRP (Required); ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate (Preferred).
• Proof of supervisory references required with submission.
• Must pass clinical review.
• Active compact license accepted.
