Job Description

The Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for direct patient care, performing interventions as part of the patient care plan, which includes medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. The RN will document patient care, monitor and record patient conditions, and communicate effectively with the care team, physician, and the patient's family.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including transfers and discharges.
• Evaluates learning needs and provides appropriate education to patients and families.
• Acts as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Current RN license to practice in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
