Registered Nurse - Progressive Care

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend, with rotation on holidays.

Job Description

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Responsibilities

• Formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit/department.
• Perform a wide variety of professional nursing services effectively.
• Communicate efficiently with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of progressive care experience.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
