Registered Nurse - ICU Experience Required

PM Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM (3x12 Hr shifts)

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse with ICU experience. The RN will demonstrate proficient assessment and clinical skills, providing comprehensive patient care and education. The role includes maintaining documentation, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to positive patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments and deliver patient care across all stages of growth and development.
• Demonstrate competent clinical skills and provide appropriate nursing care to the unit's population.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress.
• Exemplify professionalism in practice and adhere to policies and procedures.
• Respond to patients and families professionally to promote a patient-centered environment.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals and safe transfer techniques.
• Individualize patient care based on diagnoses, procedures, and specific patient needs.
• Participate in patient education and ensure understanding of surgical procedures.
• Evaluate Pre Admission Testing orders for appropriateness regarding proposed surgeries.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of ICU experience - Required
• Current RN License - Required
• BLS Certification - Required
• ACLS Certification - Required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing - Preferred
