LPN Position - Tertiary Care Hospital - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a night shift schedule of 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). The position includes a requirement for every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active New York license to join our team. The ideal candidate should have recent hospital experience and the ability to manage their own patient assignments with support from the RN. Experience within a tertiary care hospital is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care for a designated group of patients.
• Communicate any patient status changes to the RN or MD promptly.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Assist with medication administration and patient education.
• Participate in patient care planning and implementation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY state LPN license.
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital experience within the past 2 years.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is a must.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
