Schedule

Shift: 3x12s, Rotating, primarily nights (2 months nights from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, followed by 1 month days from 7 AM to 7:30 PM). Holiday and weekend requirements apply.

Job Description

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a 28-bed unit providing comprehensive care for children ages 0-18 with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. The unit is equipped to care for patients requiring intensive and intermediate support, including those with respiratory compromise, trauma, and post-operative needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide optimal care
• Educate families regarding the health needs and care of their children

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience required
• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
• Current South Carolina or multi-state/compact RN license required
• BLS and PALS (American Heart Association certification) required
