Shift: 3x12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with weekend coverage required.

Job Description

The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides specialized intensive and intermediate care to children from ages 0 to 18. Our facility is a Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Facility, delivering advanced medical care for a variety of pediatric diagnoses, including respiratory compromise, trauma, and post-operative support.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill pediatric patients, working within staffing ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support the needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and provide advanced life support as necessary.
• Assist with procedures such as ECMO and CRRT under the supervision of specialized teams.
• Support patient and family education and emotional care during critical health events.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience is required.
• Current South Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license is mandatory.
• Certification in BLS and PALS from the American Heart Association is required.
• Experience with ECMO and CRRT is preferred.
