Night shift, 3x12 Hours (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care primarily for patients with congestive heart failure (CHF), acute myocardial infarctions (acute MIs), post-device care (including pacemakers), and patients with arrhythmias. The role requires the ability to handle a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 in a 26-bed MedSurg unit, with responsibilities including cardiac monitoring and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Utilize Rapid Response and Code teams when necessary
• Administer intravenous (IV) therapy and perform phlebotomy
• Manage peripheral lines and care
• Provide respiratory support with nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management
• Follow isolation precautions
• Float to other units as required

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• Current New York State Nursing License in hand
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
